How We met / A little about us:
The year was 2016, and Jacob was bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, still getting the hang of living in Foster City and trying to map out the nearest McDonald’s. Flo was calm and collected; she’d been in Foster City for two months and thought, “That’s almost enough time to get a cat, right?”
For many, it was just another brisk August day at Gilead Sciences. However, for Jacob and Flo, it was a day that would change their lives forever. As a part of laboratory training, newly employed scientists were required to attend “Chemical Hygiene Safety Training.” And it’s a good thing they were! Not only to prevent acid burns and explosions (labs can be dangerous)…but because this is where Jacob and Flo first locked eyes.
After a series of dates, one containing some mediocre sushi, grabbing bagels before work, and taking their first long walk through Foster City, they both knew that this was the person for them.
Two years (and two cats) later, Jacob proposed to Flo by the Bay in Foster City, during yet another segment of their series of long walks.
They can’t wait to celebrate their marriage with you, and to again take their first long walk, but this time, down the aisle as a married couple.
